Wet and windy Hogmanay

The predictions for the weather were true. Overnight into the morning of the 31st. Torrential windswept rain. And then it calmed down. Mild and breezy. I began to wonder if there had been an over reaction. However as the evening has gone on the winds have got strong with some intense gusts. At least no driving rain and some of the neighbours decorations are still standing. See extra.

You do feel for the overseas and other visitors who have travelled to see outdoor events cancelled. Let’s hope they find entertainment indoors. It does feel as though planning to get sets established earlier might have helped.
