Fairies living safely in a little wooden cave.

The start of a fairy tale has its cover photo ready.
Damp but not raining the Kelpie and I wandered into the dawning day with a dawn chorus starting to form. I tackled one of the 40 foot leylandi trees that had fallen during storm Daragh, several large limbs have now been removed. Into the steam next and removing a few obstacles to free the flow of water and bring it back to life.
On the way towards the woodland walk is where I spotted my blip for today. A branch socket was the perfect spot for these delightful little fungi to make their home.
We topped up the bird feeder in the woods with peanuts and watched the birds come straight back into their new restaurant.
Tidying up Amadeus and peeling some apples from the orchard before realising that there was no traffic on the road outside the campsite. A van had overturned just below here and traffic was at a standstill, air ambulance came and headed towards Exeter 30 minutes later and then the road was closed until late evening. The driver apparently had a heart attack and lost consciousness. It surprises me that there aren’t more accidents the speed motorists hurtle along the road here. Stuffed mushrooms topped with poached eggs and bubble and squeak for dinner followed by a slice of my homemade apple, mincemeat and marzipan tarte topped with clotted cream.
Zzzzzzz
