This is a Lego TECHNIC 42148 "Snow Groomer". My wife bought it for me, but forgot she had bought it so it arrived on a few days late! I made it yesterday and it's blipped for today. I grew up in the classic age of Lego, after the initial block only phase and before the modern specialised parts era. At that time TECHNIC was still compatible with normal Lego and you could interchange parts easily.

The modern TECHNIC kits are okay, but I don't consider them to be real Lego, you build them sideways, and they are hard to change around and not as flexible in a childish kind of way that I love. I know you can build great things with them - there are loads of great videos on the web, but I don't think they are as exciting to me now as the original sets were 45 years ago...
