NYE walk

Tim was feeling rather coldy this morning, so didn't fancy a walk.  I did a bit of cleaning in the bathroom, then drove myself down to the seafront for a wander on the beach, and along Capstone Parade.  So many people out doing the same - especially on the beach!  (Not that you can tell that from this shot.)

I stopped at Lidl on my way home, and picked up some soup and rolls for Tim, plus a few other bits.  In the afternoon, I cleaned my office top to bottom - it was long overdue anyway, and then had an added layer of dust from all the recent bathroom work.  Big job, but satisfying, and almost makes me look forward to going back to work.  Sort of.  Not really.

We had a treaty dinner of veggie burgers and wedges, then settled in for a couple of games of Scrabble - and no booze.  Tim was feeling a bit better, but didn't fancy drinking, and I saved myself for a single cup of mulled wine shortly before midnight.  We watched the last heats of the World's Strongest Man, then a bit of Sophie Ellis Bextor, and the London fireworks.  NYE done - in a cosy, low key kind of way!
