A new year and the end of an era.

F and I had a quiet New Year's Eve.  There were lots of firweworks going off around town that we could see and hear from his house.

It's been a windy and showery day so we had a wander around a very quiet town.  

My blip is of Wot's Cookin' in Willow Street. It's the only town centre chippy and sadly closed yesterday after many years feeding the people of Oswestry. It was close to F's house and the food was good so he will miss it for an occasional treat when working on his house.  It must be difficult to compete with an American Fried Chicken take away next door and Wetherspoons across the road.
