Shop Now For A Cool Vape Escape

I got up early today, just after 6 a.m, as I was hoping for some me time with a coffee, peace and quiet and the chance to start my new great big chunk of a book, The Bee Sting by Paul Murray. Unfortunately, I'd only got as far as warming up the coffee machine when I could hear another member of the household who has a consistent and consistently loud cough (but who utterly refuses to do anything about it) getting up and I knew the possibility of alone time with my latest tome had vanished entirely. Aargh!!
It was yet another dull, grey, cold and damp day and that after Christmas but pre-New Year inertia had definitely set in but we still forced ourselves to go out and get the Saturday papers and to replenish our beer stocks which had been exhausted over the last few days.
After fitting in a quick pint at The Pippin I persuaded my brother to nip into town for the chance to capture a street shot or two and almost as soon as we arrived this gaudily illuminated window of a vape shop with the shiny and reflective shade wearing characters on display, presumably intended to purvey vaping's sense of cool - almost like escaping into a different world, just popped out of the gloom.
I like the details of this image too - the shop assistant placed perfectly (purely down to luck) just between the characters in the window, the disembodied arm reaching out towards one of the shelves and the sticker showing a 5 star food hygiene rating in the bottom left hand corner - either left over from the shop's previous iteration as a food outlet or vapes are now considered as a foodstuff!
That still left time in the day for me and my brother to act as chefs again and make a second full Christmas dinner (we always have two over the festive period) before settling down to watch another wonderfully relaxing (for us) episode of Winter on The Farm on Channel 5 with Jules Hudson and Helen Skelton (or just "The Skelton" as we call her in this household. as she is one of our favourite presenters) based at Cannon Hall Farm in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. We particularly enjoyed Blossom the shire horse learning the art of dressage!
