My first blip!

Why is this gate my first picture?
. I had spent new year eves with someone very dear to me, after dropping  Ellie my daughter at her friends.Joe had already gone out.
So when I got back, I was thinking about the things that needed repairing , whether I could do it myself???or the cost of someone doing it.
Where we live it's a grade II listed building, which sounds quaint which it is but repairs cost.
I was cleaning my car when a a person from the flats started to walk up past the cottages. I called out and said, it's not a public right of way..I had other people using it who were quite rude.He apologised, and said its OK, I will walk round.I said its OK as long as you close the gate. He then started sharing about himself, said his dad was a carpenter and he could do some stuff aswell. He kept saying he had been the problem child!He offered to repair it, I asked how much, he said its free, and it will help me. The next I see him working on the main gate at the top. I went really grateful. He asked me my name , I said Lucy, he told me his name was J.C.
Grateful.
