Three Choirs Festival

We'd been meaning to go to this for years, and tonight we finally made it to a Three Choirs Festival concert. Wagner and Verdi at Gloucester Cathedral.

Took the next generation up, and we all really enjoyed it. Mrs BH and I are not familiar with Wagner at all, but are now thinking we might have to listen to some more of his stuff. Thank goodness for the Proms and the bicentenary, eh?

This was the "last minute stand in" soprano soloist Emma Bell getting her richly deserved ovation for her Wesendonck Lieder. Brava!!
