Edinburgh Castle
A really stormy day that will mark the end of the unseasonal mild conditions. Torrential rain and really strong wind have resulted in the cancellation of Hogmanay events in Edinburgh. A lull in the rain around 12, including some promising glimpses of blue sky, partner and I head out for a walk. The blip was taken from a street near the house. There is a spell of heavy drizzle at the midpoint. The walk is rerouted to follow tarmac paths back to the house. The blue sky doesn't last long, and soon the rain returns. The cat decides to head out just before a heavy burst of rain and returns soaking wet. Only one walk today.
A nice evening in the dry. We watch the Outnumbered Christmas Special, then Hootenanny to see in the New Year.
