Moment of musing

Last night we ended up going down to the beach in our pjs and looking at the stars, it was so special! What was less special was an almighty storm about 4am! It blew our window wide open and terrified the kids. I don't think I've ever heard thunder like that before!
It was lovely to wake to the storm being over and blue skies being back. We headed for a walk and a picnic, and Asha and Danny waded out to a little island in the sea! Then off to the lighthouse and to see the cats again before heading back to pack up.
We came to Illetes for one last sunset before catching the ferry home. The kids are delighted to be reunited with Tux! I'm delighted to see Susanna looking and sounding like herself.
It's been a brilliant holiday. Low key, relaxed, filled with beach time and picnics!

Today I'm grateful for;
1) Being allowed to stay in the flat til our ferry left, rather than leaving at the usual checkout time.
2) The lovely memories we'll take away with us.
3) Tux purring nonstop.
