Hellvelyn

Hellvelyn via striding edge was on the agenda today. We were up at 4.30 so that we could do the walk and make it back to Keswick in time for a meander round the shops. We even managed a wee pub trip to whet the gullet after the walk.

We met the nicest couple on the way back down, who were elderly and reminiscing with us about when they used to climb the wainwrights etc. They weren’t walking the full thing, just walking as far as they could for old times sake before turning back. I’m hoping that’s what Rory and I will be like in the far future. Making friends with the walkers and telling them about all of our adventures of yester year.
