The new year kicked off with a lovely lie-in followed by a less lovely drive to Edinburgh in some rather dubious weather to pick up the two youngest from their partying last night. Back home to a lazy afternoon of leftovers for lunch, reading my book, a bit of telly and some listening to music with OH. Dinner for him and the youngest was this steak pie from the local butcher. Middle son and I enjoyed  leftovers from yesterday evening - a delicious aubergine and tomato dish from Meera Sodha's 'Dinner' cookbook. Youngest was in bed by six o'clock - a combination of lack of sleep last night, and the fact he has a 4 am start in the local supermarket. So harsh!
