Squared

Hello 2025, or 45^2, for those who like that kind of numerical oddity (like me). Almost certainly the only ‘square number year’ I will see. The next is 2116.
Kids rolled in at 4am and 6am, so it was a bit of a slow morning. And it snowed a little too.
In the evening there was a brief burst of Aurora activity - E got a photo on her phone. Pretty cool.
And because it was clear, I got the telescope out. Today’s astrophotgraphy adventure is The Pleiades - a star cluster about 444 light years from Earth. Another object you can see with the naked eye, if there’s not too much light pollution. The ‘glow’ around the stars is a dust cloud that the stars are passing through.
The photo is a stack of about 240 images, each at 15 seconds.
