Christmas Day

Time was when I'd have been on the receiving end of a strop for pointing a camera at my son, but these days he's as chilled as you'd expect a jazz musician to be, even when I accost him pre-breakfast. I guess he gets cameras and phones pointed at him quite frequently at gigs, which probably helps.

R and I had a lovely relaxed day with H and S. After a (reasonably) low-key Christmas lunch, we spent much of the rest of the day working on a tricky jigsaw of The Garden of Earthly Delights, with a break to watch the new Wallace and Gromit film, Vengeance Most Fowl. It's possible that I may have drunk quite a lot of Prosecco over the course of the day, but I think I just about got away with it.
