A Backyard Year

This is the book I am reading with my coffee
each morning; & though I am not a birder,
I accepted this challenged, planned
where I would go to see a new, exotic bird, to get my year off to an auspicious start.

While looking out the window, eating breakfast, a CROW flew directly over
my fountain. I do love CROWS & accepted
the common over the exotic.

As, a gardener, I think we should have the same tradition, except it could be the first plant of the new year, that delights. For
me, I was stopped in my tracks by the
exotic plant in my Blip; & 2025 now does have an auspicious start.

Off we go, on a wild ride of a new year!
