New Year, Same Person

I have never really understood the hype of New Year. I stayed up this year but regretted it. Felt tired all day and didn't have any umph. I don't think it helps that I'm back to work tomorrow after a nice time away.
I'm hoping to blip more this year. I want to attempt to become more positive. It's unlikely to last, but I want to try. These ramblings will be mainly for me anyhow and I want something to look back on.
I spent some time studying today and read the words "academic integrity" far too many times. Slightly lost the will to live with that section. Perhaps the cat sensed my feelings, as she placed herself in the way of the keyboard and mouse every time I tried to continue studying again. I decided to take her photo and feel it's a good start to my new year musings.
