Campfire on The Road . . . John Williamson

Our niece and her husband are doing an over night tramp into Lake Angelus Hut at 5413 ft.  They wanted to borrow a cooker to boil water.  The forester being old school has a white spirit cooker.  It is light to carry and efficient but one needs to be taught how to use it safely or you get what you see in the blip.  Other trampers sharing the hut tend to be alarmed at flames.  He suggested they light it on the deck outside the hut.  In the extra they are listening and watching with intent.
