St Aubin Sur Mer Beach

This is the beach at St Aubin Sur Mer, where we spent a big chunk of today.

In the water you can see a platform, moored to the ground and providing somewhere for folk to swim to, dive from, etc.

I have to tell you, getting onto the thing was a real pain! The tide goes out so far that the platform sinks to the ground, so there can be no ladder to help you up. Instead, you have to clamber onto it using just the strength of your arms... of which I have virtually none.

It's really embarrassing struggling to get onto the thing when there are loads of teenagers there, politely looking away from the old guy who can't drag himself onto the platform!
