The Ninth Day of Christmas

After yesterday’s wild, wet and windy weather, woke to pure blue skies and a hard white frost, eventually reaching 3 degrees.  Before leaving for Heathrow and his flight home to Singapore, my brother took Dad and me to the farm shop café at Newton St Loe for breakfast. One of us went for the full works! Unsurprisingly there was a doggy bag that went home for his lunch.

Back home I started on the mammoth task of getting the house straight, it’s going to take some time. Managed to vacuum, sort the recycling and do a bit in the kitchen then sat down with a book for a bit and promptly fell asleep. Early night tonight. With a cupboard, fridge and freezer full of leftovers, thankfully I won’t need to do much cooking for a while.
