Trixie's Adventures

Watching the swimmers

Ann had the day off today and the plan was to do another, 'I Walk Cornwall' walk. Mmmmmm.............. best laid plans and all that.................. Last night she got a message from her 'Dippers & Swimmers' asking who fancied a swim today at 10am. Our weather app seemed full of little sunny day symbols so Ann said, 'Trixie, we've got to make the most of the nice weather. I'll go for a swim and you can come with me.'
OMG?! There were about a dozen people swimming down at Porthgwidden this morning.

Before the other 'Dippers & Swimmers' arrived, Ann made me practise my swimming in the sea. I don't like those things called waves, though I have to say, I'm a lot braver than what I used to be. Ann threw my ball into the sea and I had to retrieve it. I'm getting really good at that! The sea was actually quite calm.

One of the other things Ann would like to do this year, is take me out on a paddleboard. She'd love to be one of those really cool people that paddleboard around all over the place with their dog on board. OK if she stands up on a paddleboard she can't balance and she topples over, but if she kneels, she can go really fast and she'd love it if she could take me with her. #watchthisspace

And then guess what happened when I went out this afternoon?................. I found, not one, but two manky old balls. I was sooooo, sooooo happy because last night, Ann washed all my manky old balls because I had no room left in my manky old balls box for any more and when she has time, I have to take them to the local doggie rescue centre. Boooohoooo.
Now I'm starting to fill up my manky old balls box again. Yay!!!
