Heading home

Our last day in Madrid, and it chucked it down. We headed back to the delicious bakery this morning (same one as yesterday morning) and the heavens opened as we were eating.

Rapid change of plan and we were off to the Museo Sofia Reina so that I could fulfil a dream of seeing Guernica. I’m not a huge art fan but I love Picasso.

Afterwards, we headed to a place that Rory wanted to eat at before heading back into the city centre for some sangria. A final stop at a cool bar and then the uber to take us to the airport. Our flight was delayed but we got back to Edinburgh and into the hotel at about midnight.
