Thrift is Blessing
I should have gone for a run this morning, but I didn’t get up in time. We were heading into Edinburgh. I went in first on my own, as I wanted to return something and buy a Secret Santa gift, and I planned to source a lunch venue.
I did all of this, but the boys were running late so there was no time to go for lunch. I went in search of sandwiches, but the first place had none. I found a few in the co-op, but the boys were going to get their own. Just after I had bought mine, BB called me to get them something, as they had also failed.
Purchases made, I met them at The Lyceum, where we quickly devoured our sandwiches before Treasure Island started. A family behind us was doing the same!! We enjoyed the show, great acting, singing and musicians.
After the show we headed off to friends for food and drinks. They are most excellent hosts. My glass was never empty, and the food kept coming. We all had a great evening, then had to run off to get the bus home. I pretty much went straight to bed, while the boys sat down to watch a movie. TT poured himself a large port!
This mosaic is above the entrance to what was once a bank at LothianRoad/Fountainbridge. A message to everyone going into the bank, is I think a quote from The Merchant of Venice.
