It's a beautiful
day for plein air - if only
my feet weren't cranky!

I was enjoying my coffee at 6 and waiting to leave the house at 9:30 for Luz' Cacti Ranch on Avenue 7E. 

We gathered up a group of painters there for 10 AM. The owners were very pleased to receive us. Their little chihuahua came out to greet us and made friends with each of us. The family is very proud of their Mexican heritage and proudly display the Mexican flag beside the American flag (but lower) on the front of the property.

It is a great place to paint with a new vignette to capture at every turn. Sadly, my feet were giving me grief today so I didn't stay long. I got a set of photos, popped into the gift shop, then headed for home. 

As I was driving away, I caught the shot of our group out front and very intent on purpose. 

I'm home with my feet up and may remain so.
