The Tipi
I struggled to fall asleep last night and then woke up before 5am and couldn't get back to sleep. It's almost as if excessive bread, cheese, chocolate and Baileys isn't conducive to a good night's sleep!
I usually work on Friday mornings but, selfless mum that I am, I let Miss E do it instead in the holidays to earn a bit of money. She started doing it after her exams in the summer and seems to enjoy it. The first few times I sat in with her and was amazed to see her chatting to customers. It was astounding, seeing her through other people's eyes!
If - and it's a big if - I can find time, I'd love to fill in some gaps from the past few years. Highlights for Miss E include fabulous GCSE results, prom, a trip to Norway just me and her, first day at sixth form, work, open days at Cambridge, seeing the Lionesses at Wembley, 14th, 15th and 16th birthdays, first concerts (Crawlers in London and Liverpool, Chappell Roan at the Brixton Academy), first parties (who knew she'd become a party animal!!).
Seventeen in a couple of months, she is a kind, funny, beautiful, interesting, young woman and I couldn't love her more!!! I'm sad I've missed documenting it here but I can start again now. And hopefully fill in some of those gaps.
And Miss L is pretty fabulous too!
So I was hoping for a lazy morning but after dropping Miss E at work, heading to Tesco to get her some snacks (because God forbid she make herself a sandwich before she goes to work, or eats breakfast), heading home again because I forgot my phone so couldn't pay for anything, heading back to Tesco, then back to the shop and then to the gym it didn't feel that lazy!
First time in the gym since November. I took it very easy because of my back which hasn't been right since Boxing Day. But it's a step in the right direction.
A trip to the gorgeous tipi at Preston Bissett garden centre with my mum and dad was no more than I deserved after all my efforts. A delish cheese and ham panini, a cappuccino and a look at all the lovely things.
Mr K and Miss E are currently at rock climbing, Miss L is at the pantomime in Milton Keynes with her friend. So it's just me and Archie at home.
And the Baileys!
