New growth

There was a bit of pink in the sky as the sun rose this morning annd after a short shower, the day improved. It had obviously been cold during the night as there was a thin coating of ice on parts of the drive and the grass was crispy with the thin sprinkling of snow we had during yesterday evening.
Nick spent a couple of hours gathering in the wood that he had cut up from fallen trees early in December and while he was doing this he came across quite a number of daffodils that are pushing up through the lawn.
I was hoping to get a sighting of the Quadrantids meteor shower this evening but at the moment it is too cloudy. Maybe later, or tomorrow evening.
