The Elgin Skiers
It was wonderful to see sunshine and blue skies today, just a pity that it felt like -6°. I rang the changes on my coffee place this morning and went to Starbucks which allowed me to watch the sun as it rose higher in the sky pick out the clock tower on the EIF building. It seems that dogs are welcome in the café - most have a wait and walk through role as the owners buy a coffee to accompany them on their dog walk but there is one that occupies a chair beside its owner. I am not a fan of treating dogs like humans.
My Elgin family are arriving later this evening en route for a skiing week in Switzerland. I have bought in a selection of pizzas which has always been the staple diet of pre skiing trips but since they are driving down I am holding fire on the preparation front in case the weather has delayed them.
PS The weather didn’t delay them, arriving early. Every morsel was eaten which was wonderful. They are staying near the airport with a 7am flight, so couldn’t tarry long but it was lovely to see them.
The price they had to pay for their meal was a photo shoot.
