Tesco shopping
Well! Easter Sunday is April 20th so I can't see why there is a need to fill the shelves with easter Eggs in the first week of January. I thought perhaps there might be some bits like cream eggs and mini eggs but there were rows and rows of all kinds of chocolate eggs. We've not even had pancake Tuesday yet!
On Dec 27th my repeat prescription was sent to Tesco pharmacy from my GP surgery and on Tuesday Dec 31st I received a text message from Tesco to say that my prescription was ready for collection. I didn't rush there as I had enough medication to wait till we went shopping today.
I queued at the counter as the assistant went to get my prescription (a lot of items on it) and she was gone a while with some conversations taking place with the pharmacist (not one of the usual ones). Eventually she returned to tell me that the diltiazem (my cardiac and blood pressure medication) was out of stock and they did not know when they could get it. I was not pleased, obviously, and wanted to know why they had not informed of this earlier. No answer other than that they should have! She said perhaps I didn't get a text message as they not being sent or received quite often (nobody seems to investigate why) and I told her I did receive one which said my prescription was ready to collect and there was nothing about any item being out of stock!
She said she would return the item to the spine so I could try elsewhere (not great if your cardiac medication was running out) and she would have to return all the items on that same page. This was page 1 of 5 so It old her to return the lot to the spine as if I was to go elsewhere for some of my medication I may as well get all the lot there.
Tesco Pharmacy has been excellent in the past but the last few months has not been so good (maybe it's because the have a few stand-in pharmacists rather then the usual ones or maybe it's the system). The text message I had is the first one in about 4 months or more and so I thought things were picking up ha ha. Anyway, I've taken my custom elsewhere for medication and will see how it goes at Boots (their service was abysmal when I used it regularly which is why I moved to Tesco - but I am hoping they have improved).
It's been cold and wet today and although it was not frosty like yesterday it felt colder. We had the heated seats on in terry's car - lovely!
