Deconstructing Christmas
Yes, we made a start on taking down the decorations. We did rather well but not finished, we'll wrap it all up tomorrow.
Marlane undressed two Christmas trees, I got the steps out and took off the lights and dismantled the trees. She also packed away all the decorations, many of them breakable and having their own little boxes, to go into larger plastic boxes.
Meanwhile, I was removing the large balls from the Cherry Blossom tree, and then the lights from the tree, the hedges, along the front of the house, around the front door, in the Twisted Hazel, Oh, and another Christmas tree that was outside!
It's a lot of work but what else are we going to do with ourselves otherwise.
The photograph shows the lights from the Cherry Tree, all 1,000 of them! I wrapped them into bundles or they would finish up a terrible tangled mess.
I did try to take a photograph of the moon with Venus very close, well it looked very close but only a few million miles in it I guess! Photos on the phone were rubbish and I couldn't use my Lumix camera as I hadn't used it for so long the battery had died.
