The West face
Morning errand to Timpson's on Waverly Steps .. frost on cars, ice on puddles, but the pavements were mostly dry. Back by St Andrews Square, where the Christmas things were being packed away; the small forest of trees was being shredded, with a fine piney smell.
Out in the afternoon to walk to the West End. Streets not at all busy. Blipped a detail on St Mary's Cathedral. My iconography isn't up to identifying the figure .. any suggestions ?
A long article about the history of the design and build process for the Cathedral from the Scott family Gilbert Scott .
