Portobello Beach Edinburgh Day 336

Sea view ....

Today is another brilliant warm, blue sea, blue sky day. Fife is almost in touching distance. Inchkeith island a mere stepping stone across The Forth. Everyone has time to talk, marvel and enjoy. " It's like being on a cruise ship" remarks one lady leaning on the promenade rails. "We've come from the west coast to enjoy the city, sea and hills" comment a mother and daughter on a generation bonding power walk along the prom. And talking of power we enjoyed a brilliant 30 mile cycle tour, mostly on sustrans routes, of East Lothian yesterday. There really is so much to see and do here without having to even think of any automotive power!

Thank you for your comments on yesterday's drift wood frame. It wasn't a very big piece. I went for a very low angle and the resulting perspective did the rest.

Today's blip is taken at the railings at the Joppa Promenade Plaza. The tide is high and the sea washes in below the balustrade. This view shows the sea through a rain water drain. No need for that today but it will be back in action tomorrow!
