Snowberries
Another cold morning - although not as frosty as yesterday, and no bitter northerly wind. It was quite pleasant out walking.
Spotted these snowberries close to the footpath - there were not that many of them, just a couple of small clusters like this.
Our daughter bought us each a ‘Conquer 2025 challenge code’ for Christmas - which has enabled us to create a challenge for ourselves within a special app, with the potential for a medal at the end!
I have chosen to try and achieve 1200 miles outdoor walking this year…which works out at an average of just over 3 miles a day.
Last year I completed my personal 1000 mile challenge by early November - and then set myself a revised target of 1200 - but missed it by 27 miles, mostly down to a very poor December (holidays, illness and bad weather) and I think I took my foot off the gas a bit during November.. have reached almost 16 miles already. Fingers crossed I can keep my average up over the whole year.
