The Crossing of the Ducks

One thing that the Netherlands is known for is the amount of land that lies on or below sea level. It's also known for being flat, and having incredible water management. My home has water on three sides and on the otherside of the road. When there isn't a lot of clouds, the reflection of the rising sun over the water is spectacular. Since there's a lot of water, there's a lot of water birds, like ducks and swans. Today, Little Man and I stayed home. The weather has turned colder and we didn't have a reason to go out, except to get wood, which Little Man didn't join me to get from the garage. At one point I looked out the window and saw these two ducks crossing the road, moving from one lot of water to another, probably in search of food.
