In absentia

It may be waxing a little too philosophical for a Saturday afternoon - but lamenting the absence of little birdies in the garden today, and trying to decide what to blip, I thought that photos can be not only about what is present, but also about what is not present, or what we think should be present. So, in the absence of any little birdies, here are some of the nuts that are awaiting them when they get their idle little selves in gear.
