Grey and White

Another day without sun, but brighter in the snowy landscape of the Taunus hills. The snow only just covered the ground, but it was enough for the slopes being full of children with all kinds of skids and sledges, bouncing rather than sliding downhill over the frozen ground. If you look closely, you can spot a group of waiting parents on the edge of the white field just next to the bushes on the right - that’s where the most popular slope starts.

I visited my mother, delivered groceries, and stayed for lunch and coffee. She never talks much anymore, and seemed even more tired and silent today. Soon after her cup of coffee she went to have a nap, and I returned home.
