Rather not

It's quite the norm here to take crops left over by harvesting machines. The problem is that few such foodstuff are for human consumption.  This maize & similarly many potatoes are not edible, grown either to be silage for cattle or bio-electricity or for their starch. Added bonus with maie, it's highly likely to have pesticides of the worst sort & anyway we'll all get our share in due course from the cow milk & meat.
