Boekenhout (Cape Beech) seeds..

I collected these seeds on one of my walks and asked a fellow walker what type of seeds they were. He said they have the most delightful name Boekenhout...so even though I collected the seeds a while back this photo taken today and I am going to try my best to grow a boekenhout tree.

The botanical name is Rapanea Melanophloeos..
