Ice rink

There were a couple of icy patches at the park today and the volunteers had done an excellent job of highlighting them.  The arrival of the community policing team was well timed as the officer nit running parked the car to highlight the biggest patch.  There was even a blue light for a while.

I decided to head home instead of to the cafe as I'd gotten cold there the previous visit but ended up helping with the trolley and chucking as I opened a padlock that 3 people said was frozen/unlockable.  I knew this wasn't the case as Dave had opened it 2 hours before. I also knew that it has slightly unusual alignment.
I stopped for wine a few provisions on the way home, ate toast and did chores before heading for a swim.
The air and water temperature have really dropped and the water channel (large ditch?) across the field was icy as I arrived. 2 other bobbers joined me and we did swim out to the closest boat and back. Exhilarating and a January swim ticked off.
