Langhorne Boro’s Holiday Tree
I recently attended Newtown’s tree lighting ceremony with my Best Friend and Blipper, Labrador Lane. She posted that lovely tree from her historic burg. It’s only fair that I give you the Christmas tree from my neighboring historic Boro in Bucks County.
George Washington was very busy here before and after he & his Continental Army crossed the Delaware River into Trenton on Christmas night 1776 !!
For a bit of history, his boats crossed the ice-choked river from the Pennsylvania side to New Jersey. The crossing was part of a surprise attack on Hessian troops in Trenton, New Jersey. The attack was a turning point in the American Revolutionary War.
Hooray for Freedom !
