A Raining Willow

A dull, very cold day. After Len went to play tennis (!), I dressed Basil in his blanket coat that covers all four legs and set forth on Cecily to go to Tesco Express and collect two Evri parcels. The route took us down Garendon Road where we passed under this rather fine willow tree. Too many people have taken down their joyous Christmas lights.

Only one chap on duty in Tesco and he was going home at 5 pm.

Basil seems to like his blanket coat which is just as well for this freezing weather. We delivered the last remaining calendars to neighbours. I really needed one extra. Something to remember  for another Christmas, God willing that I reach it.

Prawns in garlic and ginger, as usual on a Saturday for supper, while catching up on the previous series of SAS Rogue Heroes on iPlayer. It irritates me that the Beeb hasn't put the new series into its own set.
