Boarded-up window, derelict house, Millpond Avenue

Mostly heavy rain and fog today, it's been about 12 degrees all day.

With its pale pink stucco, ornate plasterwork and Corinthian columns, this would have been a very opulent house when it was built in the early 1800s. At the Foundry end of Hayle the large houses were built for senior managers at Harvey's Foundry and its associated businesses. Pretty much everything at this end of Hayle was Harvey's. Latterly, the house was a care home and was in good condition until 2013 when it closed. My extra shows the house. For the Derelict challenge, thank you Marlieske for hosting.
