I thought he was a Sparrow …

… till I downloaded him after another abortive attempt to see a kingfisher. This is a Rock Bunting apparently, with his war-painted face. I’ve never consciously seen one before but apparently they are quite common just very shy.

Rest day today which meant I could spend more time in the garden with Preston (extra). As soon as the sun goes in he « runs » back indoors. He hasn’t got a lot of hair on his nether regions after his amputation. I think he feels the cold.
