Soundtrack of My Life

We’ve avoided the snow here but instead we’ve had a day of drizzle, rain and gloom. I’ve got lots of indoor jobs done though, so that’s been very satisfying and the house feels cosy when it’s so dull outside.

My blip shows M catching up on ‘Match of the Day’ and yesterday’s football highlights. Ziggy is curled up asleep next to him, he’s slightly less interested in the action on-screen.

It occurred to me that ‘Match of the Day has featured fairly continuously throughout my adult life. I don’t watch it but it’s surprising how much football trivia I pick up by just hearing it in the background. Mind you, I still don’t understand the offside rule, but I don’t feel that my ignorance of this vital piece of information has particularly disadvantaged me.
