Blame Kat.

       Kat inherited Alice's Christmas Cake recipe and modified it EVER SO slightly; with GOOD reason.
        It must have seen some service she tells me she's almost worn it out. In order to replace it I nearly had to resurrect Sherlock Holmes.
       I went through Alice's Recipes, a page at a time, IO went through my tiny thin one, in case I'd transferred it WHY?).  As a last resort I started on "Mother's Recipes".  I never did find out if she wrote then, or inherited them.
       During my "ratch" I found 3-4 "Christmas Cake Recipes", but the "Sago Sponge" caught my Eye and was mildly researched; plenty Sago (almost innumerable) Sago Puddings to be seen, but nary a Sponge.
        Unknown to me, no reason to know; she'd written it in Mother's Book. "I have a cunning Plan."©Baldrick. Maybe - more later.
