Foxy Loxy on the garden wall
We were buried under another avalanche of stress this morning.
We were meant to be driving to Manchester tomorrow, then flying from there on Wednesday for a week's holiday in the sun. On our return we were hoping to spend a long weekend with two of Mr hazelh's sisters in Nottingham, then call in on Mummy hazelh on our drive back to Edinburgh. The freezing weather and an electrical fault on our car has persuaded us that we should make the journey to Manchester by train and sacrifice the add-on trips after our holiday. Added to this, when he tried to download them, Mr hazelh couldn't access our holiday insurance documents online - aargh!
Meanwhile, we have an electrical fault on the heating in our flat. We are rather concerned that we won't be able to leave the heating on low to guard against frozen pipes while we are away.
The good news is that all reports from the care home in Newcastle is that Mummy hazelh is settling in well and has made some friends. Phew!
I was delighted to spot Foxy Loxy on our garden wall while I was packing my suitcase for our trip away. It's not a bad shot given that the picture was taken through a window with a mobile phone.
This evening I am writing to Mummy hazelh's friends to tell them about her change of address.
Exercise today: 1 hour on the exercise bike.
