Snow Joke
Well, today has been busy. Up at 5.30am as my husband was unwell. He settled back in to bed but I couldn't sleep, so got up and tackled the kitchen and laundry.
Woke everyone up at 9.30am to get a too good to go bag from Subway. I've not had one before, but 4 empty subs and a pack of cookies was a bargain for £2.20.
It was at this point I found out our tesco order for this evening was cancelled due to severe weather. Frustratingly, most of it has melted now, but it looked lovely this morning.
I'm not a fan of snow due to being on crutches. Ice/snow and crutches don't mix.
That said, seeing how happy it makes the children is lovely. I took this picture through our living room window this morning (decorated with The Muppets Christmas Carol characters).
After getting the subs and cancelled shop delivery news, we detoured via Aldi and Tesco to get a few needed items and headed home. Whilst on the detour, I found out my grandads sister had passed away. My grandad passed away in 2015, but it feels like I've lost another link to him and although I didn't know her well, we sent Christmas cards every year and I'd smile when we receive it.
We had home made Subway subs which were delicious.
After this it was off to the local cinema to watch Sonic The Hedgehog 3. It was alright, but poor Shadow! Jim Carrey acted brilliantly in it.
After this it was a trip around town to catch Pokemon and nip to CEX for a look at phones as mine keeps cooking itself.
Once home, chaos reigned as kids realised it's back to school tomorrow and decided they didn't want to do anything to get ready for it.
I felt rough after the early start so decided to have a nap but couldn't be awoken, so slept until 7.30pm. Subsequently had tea but still feeling exhausted, went back to bed and hoping to sleep until morning (but this won't realistically happen sadly, having not slept through for years), where I found out The Vivienne had also passed away (winner of Ru Paul's Drag Race, Season 1), aged 32 which is no age at all.
Life sadly isn't promised and I do worry about death (pointlessly I realise).
