Champit Eggs (Egg in a cup)

Boiled eggs with butter & added seasoning mashed with a fork in a cup. Think over did the eggs a bit but still good comfort food.

Along with homemade soup and toast finishing with a yoghurt.

Didn’t go out today, mainly a mix of snowy, sleaty, rainy, hailstones showers throughout the day & it still looked like frozen puddles and slippy.


Am sure you have your own name local to you of champit eggs. Always given as a kid when not feeling well - now more an easy comfort food.

Remember Mum also used to make a steamed egg in a cup when not well.
