Early morning arrival at Fuerteventura.
We went on a trip on an open topped small coach today which was great. We travelled up the east coast and the first stop was the amazing sand dunes at Corralejo National Park. Such beautifully soft sand, which they believe move about 4 metres a year.
Next up to Corralejo, on the north coast. Time for a short wander then a sit at a gorgeous bar for a coffee on the beach. Then inland, heading south stopping at a place where they grow and farm aloe Vera - all fascinating. Then on to see the oldest church in the north of the island - my photo - Iglesia De Nuestra Senora De La Candelario. Then back to the shop for lunch.
After lunch we went out again for a walk in the town of Puerto del Rosario, where we were docked. Visited the church there and walked along to the beach.
In the evening, as it’s the day before Epiphany we watched the locals preparing for the parade of the three kings. All very colourful and busy!
