You Call This Snow?

We woke to snow, as per forecast, but only a mere 5mm or so, fallen on frozen ground but rather disappointing.

Things looked up when snowfall began around 8.30am but, being a mix of snow and rain, didn't accumulate.

And so to church, nothing much down in Newington and afterwards left in rain. At the Hermitage it fell as snow - which began to settle on the road...I dashed out to snap the Witch hazel in teeming sleet, hence the droplets hanging from the flower and mushy crystals on the top.

I should not complain but I brought my snowboots out of storage to warm up after the last forecast and they're still sitting looking at me, waiting...
