Trees in Fairmilehead Park
A bit of a thaw overnight, but there was a wee flurry of snow overnight. Consequently, there is black ice with a water surface, so very slippery in places. However, walking with care it was fine. Very cloudy initially as well. I slowly wandered around the park. I too my weekly photo of the trees then headed anticlockwise from here. I headed through the woods pictured, but just before heading out of the park, the sun appeared. So I headed back to the photo point to take the photo with sunshine, then headed home.
After coffee, the grocery delivery was made to the front door, as the access to the rear of the house is still snowy and icy. The eldest son arrived with his wife and daughter. We exchange Christmas gifts (although twin 1 isn't here as he arranged to meet friends). Then we have lunch of home made soup. Granddaughter has just started solids, so as the soup is made without additional salt, she can have some as well. She thoroughly enjoyed it, and couldn't be fed fast enough. Back to the lounge for more chit-chat before they have to leave.
That means there is enough time for partner and I to have an afternoon walk. There is a lot less ice now, but we still have to watch where we walk. Nice to get home and have afternoon coffee.
A quiet evening in, watching a bit of tv, Pointless and Shetland.
