Greystoke Castle

The second day of Don's visit.  To get some fresh air and exercise we had a walk in the village and headed up to the Castle.  Our hope was that the "Butler's Pantry" would be open for coffee and cake.  Sadly it wasn't.  So I settled for a phone blip.

The castle recently has been repurposed.  The owner has stepped back/retired and leased the castle to a gentleman who is making in into an attraction.venure.  The plans are the cafe of course, weddings have been going on for a while, there have been/are going to be concerts, theatrical events, comedy nights and art exhibitions,  Also as I mentioned the other day he kindly lets local organisations use the castle for special events.
